We also address the emotional and social dimensions of aging through the design of interventions such as social robots and digital platforms that target depression, mood disorders, and isolation. Our research teams are developing advanced robots to assist older adults in daily life. These robots provide reminders, mobility support, and help with household tasks, while also offering meaningful social interaction to reduce loneliness.
Once developed, these technologies will be tested in the simulation apartment to evaluate how they function in a home setting. The expected outcomes are stronger social connections, improved mental health, reduced loneliness, and greater community engagement among older adults.
